Swan offers you 25 Styling tips to bring out the best in you!
- If you are narrow in the body try stripes when choosing a
top...remember different width stripes can make a big difference to
your proportions.
- If you are long in the body look for high rise trousers or
skirts.
- If you have worn leggings the first time around, try a skinny
or straight cut dark denim and team it with a platform, wedge or
tuck inside a boot.
- Once you have a wardrobe full of block colours, start adding
prints to broaden your wardrobe.
- If you wear a print, accessories should be kept to minimum and
be simple or bold depending on the size of the print.
- The longer you are in the leg; pinstripe and plaids with a
turn-up can create a more sophisticated look; and don't forget the
heels with a peep or slightly pointed toe.
- The smaller you are try smaller prints, the larger you are the
larger the print one can carry.
- White denim can be as slimming as black denim and will be
perfect for a summers day or night out.
- Denim jackets are a perfect jacket to team with a maxi dress,
just remember to turn up the sleeves, collar and button one button
to give it shape.
- If you want to create a long leg, avoid a strap around the
ankle and look for straps that cross over the front of the
foot.
- If you are heavier in the hip and thigh a bell or wide flare
denim is a perfect smart casual solution; just add a high wedge for
sex appeal.
- A one button jacket with a peaked lapel is ones first
investment.
- If you look or looked good in a mini, and don't want to show
your legs, try a solid matt opaque tight or a skinny/ straight
trouser for a more sophisticated look.
- Sack dresses allow you to belt them wherever you feel flatters
best; either under the bust at the waist or on the hip.
- A great buckle draws the eye to the centre of your body and
takes the attention from one's hip.
- Smaller frames/ smaller, skinnier belts-larger frames/ bigger
bolder belts-or if you have a bit of a tummy, shaped belts that are
wider in the back and narrower in the front create a slimmer
illusion.
- The elasticated belt is the belt of the season.
- Always wear accessories in threes or just one.
- Frills, lace and waterfall sleeves look best when you are under
35.
- Dresses look best if you are under 5'7" and separates look best
if you are over 5'8".
- If you don't wear makeup; a coloured lip-gloss will make you
feel and look more feminine.
- Short hair requires make-up to add femininity.
- The wider one's face add bush under cheek and blend towards the
apple of your cheek, whereas the smaller your face blend from the
apple of your cheek toward your ear.
- A well defined brow will both balance your face and take ten
years off your age.
- If you have lines under your eyes avoid mascara on your lower
lashes and add more mascara to your upper lashes and you will
appear years younger.
