25p challenge results!
07 September 2009
The Ashley Centre's exciting 25p challenge ran throughout August
to raise money for The Children's Trust in Tadworth, who are
jointly celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2009.
Throughout August shoppers were asked to donate 25p to the
charity as part of the Centre's 25th anniversary celebrations. A
grand total of £6640.51 was raised and The Ashley Centre
would like to thank everyone who made a donation.
Many events and activities were held throughout the month to
boost the fundraising total including performances by a Michael
Jackson impersonator! M&S Epsom also ran a number of
fundraisers and collections which significantly added to the final
total.
Although the collection tins have now been removed from The
Ashley Centre, a number of fundraising activities will continue to
take place throughout the remainder of the year. For example,
profits from the new children's ride in the centre, situated
outside Jessops, will be donated to The Children's Trust until the
end of September.
The Children's Trust is a national charity, based in Tadworth,
which provides care, education and therapy for children with
multiple disabilities and complex health needs, and rehabilitation
services to children with an acquired brain injury. For
