Challenge the Stylist at The Ashley Centre
05 October 2010
There was a rare chance to "challenge the stylist" at The Ashley
Centre with free style consultations last weekend (1-3 October
2010).
Over 300 visitors enjoyed free style advice from a team of
professional stylists as well as colour consultations and
makeovers. Shoppers of all ages took part in the sessions and
tested the stylists with their various style dilemmas. The stylists
were set a challenge to find each person a new season outfit that
flattered them and suited their personality and lifestyle.
Nikita Gandhi, 17 from Croydon came in to broaden her own sense
of style. She said: "I now have a better idea of how to wear
current trends and I have a new look to try!"
Stylist Jill Chandler whose experience includes a role as
personal shopping manager for Harvey Nichols said: "I get so
much satisfaction from these events. I had a number of women coming
to me who have recently turned forty and were wondering how they
should dress without appearing too young nor overly mature. I
advise everyone I see to try and get mileage out of their wardrobe.
Don't just buy clothes for certain occasions and don't be afraid to
mix textures."
Everyone who took part in the style event received a goody bag
filled with treats from stores at The Ashley
Centre.
