Summer Fun Days!
09 August 2010
The Ashley Centre's free summer holiday activities have been
going down a storm this August with children enjoying Cool Crafts
and Blasts from the Past!
Children who love licking, sticking, glittering and gluing won't
want to miss COOL CRAFTS every Wednesday throughout August between
10am - 4pm. Each week there is a different theme, with Jungle Fever
Day on Wednesday 11 August. Children can make jungle masks
supervised by feisty cats and can take part in a zoo themed
colouring competition. On Wednesday 18 August it's Fairytale Fun
creating picture frames with royal princesses as well as a
fairytale character dressing up competition. It is Party Time on
Wednesday 25 August where kids can decorate delicious cookies with
crazy clowns and take part in a party popper fun quiz.
Every Thursday in August is a BLAST FROM THE PAST with Bourne
Hall Museum between 11am and 4pm. On Thursday 12 August children
will be able to meet a Roman Centurion and a Celtic Warrior and on
Thursday 19 August there will be a chance to try your hand at being
an archaeologist with mini excavation digs. Finally on Thursday 26
August there will be a chance to try your hand at brass rubbing.
Discover how images of the past can be brought to life with nothing
more sophisticated than crayons.
HARRY POTTER MAGICAL MATHS will run on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25
and Thursday 26 August with Explore Learning who will be running
some fantastically wizardly maths games for all ages and
abilities.
