The Ashley Centre Food Festival
29 June 2009
Three scouts from 7th Epsom Scout Group competed to be top chef
and the winner was Josh (aged 10) who prepared an Eton Mess made
with British ingredients of strawberries, cream and meringue.
Runners up were Connie (aged 11) and George (aged 10).
Richard Cawley demonstrated his recipes for crispy pancakes
filled with garlic mushrooms, chardonnay chicken served with
stir-fried English vegetables and sherry berry trifle to a very
impressed Epsom public. He gave away signed recipe sheets to those
watching, who also received complimentary goodie bags.
One lucky shopper, Robert Teasdale of Epsom, won £200
worth of foodie goodies including cookbooks, wine, a
slow cooker and ceramic table wear courtesy of The Ashley
Centre retailers. The event was supported by M&S, Waitrose,
Cook and Starbucks who offered the public free tastings throughout
the day.
The Ashley Centre has an exclusive free offer of Richard Cawley
quick and easy recipes (one per month, 12 in total) guaranteed to
wow any dinner party guest. Click here to sign up and receive your
