The Ashley Centre thanks its shoppers for their generosity
17 January 2011
Charities fundraising in The Ashley Centre, Epsom raised just
over £39,000 during 2010, an increase of over 20% on the previous
year.
The 2010 total was boosted by high profile fundraising appeals
including the worldwide appeal for Haiti and locally for Adam's
Appeal.
Fundraising events during 2010 included local choirs raising
money carol singing for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund, the Rotary
and Girlguiding UK. Independent retailer Quest opened in May and
celebrated with a fundraiser for Adam's Appeal, in aid of a local
schoolboy suffering from cancer. The Royal Marsden benefited from a
gift wrap service that was a very popular attraction welcomed by
hundreds of shoppers, plus there were many collections and
awareness campaigns held in the Centre in aid of both
local and national charities.
The Ashley Centre would like to thank its shoppers for their
generosity on behalf of these extremely worthwhile causes.
